A Buyer's Guide to the Karachi Used Phone Market
From Saddar's stalls to Gulshan's shopfronts — where to look, what to pay, and the traps to avoid in Pakistan's largest phone market.
Karachi has the deepest used-phone supply in Pakistan and, consequently, the widest spread between a good deal and a bad one.
The main clusters
Saddar (Abdullah Haroon Road) — the largest concentration of dealers and the best raw prices. Also the highest density of refurbished units sold as original. Go with a checklist.
Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Bahadurabad — established shopfronts with a local reputation to protect. Prices run 5–10% higher; the return conversation is far easier.
DHA and Clifton — the cleanest inventory, largely single-owner flagships, at the highest prices.
What Karachi buyers get wrong
Judging on price alone. The PKR 8,000 you save at a stall evaporates the moment you discover an aftermarket panel or an unregistered IMEI.
